Pursuant to Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), every person has the right to privacy and to protection against the misuse of their personal data. The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy statement.

Together with our hosting providers we make every effort to protect our databases as effectively as possible against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or falsification.

Please note that data transmission over the internet (for example when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Processing of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person about whom personal data is being processed. Processing covers any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures applied — in particular the storage, disclosure, acquisition, deletion, modification, destruction, and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. Where and to the extent that the EU GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases under Art. 6 (1) GDPR:

  • Consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) — The data subject has given consent to the processing of their personal data for one or more specific purposes.
  • Performance of a contract and pre-contractual requests (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) — Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party, or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR) — Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) — Processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party.

Security measures

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, taking into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation, and the nature, scope, context, and purposes of processing as well as the varying likelihood and severity of the risks to the rights and freedoms of natural persons.

Cookies and web analytics

This website uses no tracking, marketing, or analytics cookies. No data is stored on your device — no cookies, no localStorage, no other client-side storage mechanisms.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

For web analytics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-friendly analytics service from Cloudflare, Inc. A lightweight script (~5 KB) is loaded asynchronously into your browser. Per page view, this script captures anonymous usage data: the page visited, the referrer, an approximate country-level location, browser type, and load-time metrics.

Why does this matter for your privacy? Traditional analytics tools such as Google Analytics set cookies on your device, build persistent user profiles, and track your behaviour across multiple websites. This enables detailed profiling of your interests, habits, and browsing behaviour — often without you noticing.

Cloudflare Web Analytics works fundamentally differently:

  • No cookies: No analytics cookies are set. As a result, no cross-site tracking is possible — neither by us nor by third parties.
  • No storage on your device: No localStorage, sessionStorage, or other client-side storage is used. Nothing identifiable is stored on your device.
  • No fingerprinting: No device characteristics are combined to re-identify you. Every page view is an isolated, anonymous event.
  • No personal identification: Individual visitors are not identified, re-identified, or tracked across multiple visits. Cloudflare only provides anonymous, aggregated statistics.
  • No consent banner required: Because no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent is required under the ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) or the Swiss FADP.

In concrete terms: when you visit this site, we know that "someone" visited a particular page and which website they came from — but not who they are, and not what they do anywhere else on the internet. For more information, see the Cloudflare Web Analytics product page.

Technically necessary cookies

We use only technically necessary cookies that are required to operate the website (for example for appointment booking via Calendly). These cookies serve no analytics or advertising purpose; they merely ensure the functionality of external services that you actively use. Technically necessary cookies do not require consent under the Swiss FADP or the GDPR.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content — such as enquiries you send to us as the website operator — this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar shows "https://" instead of "http://" and by the padlock icon in the browser bar.

Third-party services

This website uses the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare Pages & Web Analytics — This site is delivered via Cloudflare Pages. For analytics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a lightweight analytics script that captures anonymous usage statistics (page views, referrer, load times, approximate country-level location).   • Calendly — For online appointment booking. When you use the booking widget, the Calendly Privacy Policy applies.
  • Resend — For sending newsletter emails. Resend Privacy Policy.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, the details you provide there — including the contact information you supply — are stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

Newsletter

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we require an email address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
